Finding the World's Paradises

The world is a beautiful place. There are flowing rivers, blossoming flowers, brilliant sunshine, cooling breezes, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, violent volcanoes, snow capped mountains towering over sweltering savannahs, unusual animals, waves rushing over the surface to turquoise waters and breaking upon the silky sands of milk-white beaches and the slow swaying of a hammock in the shade while birds wrapped in rainbows sing sweet songs. Finding locations where this natural beauty is combined with enchanting entertainment leads one into the midst of the most exotic destinations across the world. For many this is the ultimate in relaxation and a prerequisite for an unforgettable vacation.

There are many places on the planet that combine these elements with great music, fantastic food and all the excitement one can handle. One such place is Costa Rica. Located on the isthmus of Central America, Costa Rica is a natural paradise. On its west coast lies the vast Pacific Ocean. The warm waters of the Caribbean Sea form its east coast. In between are some of the world’s most exotic places. There are seaside towns like Tamarindo with its golden beaches, amazing surfing and hot salsa music. There is also the Irazu volcano stretching into the sky, peaceful blue lagoons and some of the world’s best national parks where thousands of species of plants and animals flourish as nature intended.

A really exotic destination is Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. Kathmandu is in the Central Asian highlands. It is the meeting place for Hindus, Buddhists and an amazing array of adventurers. Its ancient streets are crowded with people speaking over one hundred languages. Incense pours out from Hindu and Buddhist temples. The nation is officially Hindu but Nepal is the birthplace of the Buddha, so tens thousands of Buddhists shuttle from temple to shrine to supplicate themselves. Kathmandu itself is in the foothills of the Himalaya Mountains. It is here that most people who are going to make a serious attempt at climbing Mount Everest or any of the other 8 of the world’s ten tallest mountains gather. Kathmandu is also rife with tales of the Abominable Snowman or Yeti. Want a true adventure? Visit Kathmandu.

If you could only select one continent to seek an exotic vacation then choose Africa. Africa has it all. In the north there is Egypt. There you will find the Great Pyramids, last of the original Seven Wonders of the World. There is also the Sphinx and the majestic River Nile and the other remains of the one of the world’s earliest civilizations. In the eastern corner of the continent there are the vast Serengeti plains where millions of animals live as they have done since the dawn of time. Lions, wildebeest, giraffe, gazelle, jaguar, African wild dogs, elephants, zebra, hippos and rhinos live, reproduce and die on these savannahs in the shadow of the perpetually snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. West Africa has the world’s second largest rainforest, the mighty Congo River and one of the rarest animals in the world, the Okapi. South Arica offers the cosmopolitan Johannesburg, the Asian dominated Durban and the amazing coastal city of Cape Town.

The planet is awash in exotic vacation locations. Aren’t you ready to travel to one of these locations? Just imagine yourself in your favorite t-shirt, relaxing with a drink in your left hand.
